Full Time Application Closes 25 Apr 2024 Canterbury - Christchurch City Purchasing Manager We're looking for an amazingly talented, Purchasing Manager to join our team, at Bidfood Foodservice, based in Islington, Christchurch.
Are you ready to spearhead our purchasing operations, where we look after over 6500 products, dealing in ambient, chilled and frozen lines? If you are passionate about cost-effective procurement, skilled in stock control, and adept at managing supplier relationships, we want to hear from you!
Your responsibilities: Purchasing Strategy: Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to ensure the procurement of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
Cost-Effective Purchasing: Identify cost saving opportunities, negotiate favourable terms with suppliers, and implement cost-effective purchasing practices.
Stock Control: Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes , and implement stock control measures to optimise inventory management.
Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of six dedicated purchasing assistants, providing guidance, training and support, to ensure their success and professional development.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues that may arise to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
Food Safety and Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations in all purchasing activities, maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment for staff and customers alike.
What you will bring to Bidfood! Minimum of 3 years proven experience in purchasing/procurement roles, with proven leadership experience.
