As part of the Te WaipounamuRegional Team, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Public HealthMedicine Specialist to contribute to this journey. Our goal is to create ahealthcare system where people live longer in good health, experience animproved quality of life, and benefit from equitable services.
You will be a valuable member of the Te Waipounamu NationalPublic Health Service, reporting to the Manager of Strategy and Operations.This role offers a unique opportunity to work towards achieving five key systemshifts, emphasizing Te Tiriti principles and obligations.

As a designated MOoH, you will be able toparticipate in the on-call roster and undertake statutory duties as adesignated MOoH.
As a key member of the Te Waipounamu National Public HealthService, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providingprofessional leadership for public health/population health.Workingin partnership with colleagues to ensure the quality of public healthwork.Providingadvice to ensure a cohesive, effective, and equitable health system.Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills: Essential: Vocationalregistration in public health medicine.Provenknowledge of equity models and practice.Understandingof the New Zealand health sector.CurrentAnnual Practising Certificate or eligible for one.Belonging Here Being part of the TeWhatu Ora, Health New Zealand, our people enjoy access to, flexible workingarrangements and a genuine and ongoing focus on career development.
