Nga kawenga |About the role We have an exciting part-time position available for a Registered Psychologist at the Tai Aroha STU in central Hamilton, offering a unique chance to contribute to violence prevention and rehabilitation within a world-class community-based Special Treatment Unit (STU). As a psychologist in this role, you'll be at the heart of a therapeutic environment with a strong Tikanga Maori focus, providing essential therapy and reintegration support for residents. This is a calling for those who aspire to empower individuals on Home Detention sentences to lead lives free of violence and reintegrate positively into their communities and families. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a genuine desire to empower people to make positive changes in their lives. Your experience in clinical assessment, treatment, and psychometric testing will be invaluable in this role. As someone with an interest in cultural responsiveness, you will thrive in an environment that values and integrates Tikanga Maori principles. While experience in group facilitation is preferred, it is not essential – we believe in nurturing and developing your skills to their fullest potential. The salary range for the role is $83,286 - $133,370. Frontline Psychologists also have the ability to work towards additional allowances and allocated professional development funding.
