While we work in different groups and on different things, we all strive every day to make the biggest difference we can for our akonga in our education system.Fixed-term, full-time maternity leave cover until end of June, 2025, based in Whangarei, Kaitaia or Kerikeri, Te Tai Tokerau.As Te Kahu Toi | Intensive Wraparound Service Psychologist you will work as part of a trans-disciplinary team to understand the needs of the young person and family and implement evidence based interventions in your areas of expertise.More specifically, you will:Identify patterns or contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing and behaviourContribute to strength based collaborative team processes to meet the young person's underlying needsProvide ongoing, individualised and dynamic psychological assessment and interventionSupport all those around the child to use evidence informed practiceMonitor implementation effectiveness by supporting data collection and informed decision making.You will receive initial and ongoing training in wraparound practice, comprehensive practice support, supervision, and opportunities for professional development to continue to develop skills in relevant areas of expertise and interest.Salary range: $85,416 - $116,316 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.Flexible working arrangements where everyone feels valued & supported.The ability to purchase extra days leave.A range of employee network groups.An inclusive environment that encourages your personal cultural competency journey.Development and learning, including mentorship programmes and internal secondments.Wellness initiatives to support your overall health and wellbeing.About you | Mohou akeTo be successful in this role, you will also:Be a New Zealand Registered Psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act and hold a current practicing certificate;Have the ability to contribute your specialist skills within multi-agency, trans-disciplinary settings where the child/youth are at the centre of everything you doExhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHave an ability to work effectively with children, young people and their families, teachers and other professionals across a diverse range of settingsShow the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tirirti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga, and haveWe provide flexible working environments where everyone feels relevant, valued and supported.
