You also possess a personal set of values and beliefs towards prisoners that will prove as role model behaviours and actions in all that you do.About the RoleThe role of the Property Co-ordinator is to provide high quality administrative and co-ordination support relating to prisoner property, and to your other colleagues within the wider Custodial Services administration team. This role reports to the Receiving Office Supervisor and works closely with the Officers within that unit, the Operations Support Grade staff and other Custodial Administrators.You will process all incoming prisoner property received through visits, mail, NZ Police, new arrivals, First Security, couriers, other facilities, and other areas as required. You will also process outgoing prisoner property as required. You will need to accurately maintain the prisoner property records and application, and respond to requests in a timely manner, as well as monitor and review complaints.You will also report back on statistics and other information to the AD-Custodial Services, manage the biometrics system for enrolling approved individuals, maintain and manage the property email inbox, ensure the removal of unauthorised items, ensure office supplies are maintained and coordinate purchasing if required. From time to time, other related duties may also arise.To be successful in this role, you will:Have the highest levels of trust and integrity,Be culturally aware and able to communicate well with people from all walks of life,Have an understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, and be committed to providing for better outcomes for Maori,Work well in a team environment,Pride yourself on high levels of resilience,Have previous experience as an office administrator, office assistant or in another relevant administration/co-ordinator role,Have customer-service experience (preferred),Demonstrate competence in using a computer and computer systems, as well as software packages (eg. Word, Excel, Outlook),Have organisational skills,Have a proactive and adaptable nature, acting quickly to solve potential issues, while being reliable and resourceful,Have excellent attention to detail, accuracy and time management,Be of an adequate level of fitness, as this role will require walking around our site and handling and moving small parcels as required,Have the legal right to work in New Zealand (eg.
