We also purchase major equipment which becomes a capability when it is used by those in service of the New Zealand Defence Force.Mo te tunga I About the roleCalling all Project Managers, come join our Future Air Mobility Capability (FAMC) project.You will be based in Defence House, Wellington supporting the Project Team that is delivering the replacement C-130J-30 aircraft to the New Zealand Government. You will be accountable to the Integrated Project Team (IPT) Leader and become part of an existing Integrated Project Team at an exciting time in the project as we seek to bring the new capability home.We want to know about the skills and experience. To be successful we have listed the role requirements below:Being an integral part of the full FAMC Integrated Project Team, contributing and participating in all IPT activities as applicable.Manage, report and control the project finances.Control the project schedule, driving delivery against the schedule and undertaking any reporting and follow up activities required.Co-ordination, liaison and support of all project personnel.Controlling, updating and reporting on the project risks.Generating board reports.Certifying and approving project expenses in accordance with the issued delegation.We ask all our people to undertake a commitment to doing their part to deliver on the Crown's commitments to Maori under Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We do this by actively striving to build te ao Maori capability into our day-to-day work.We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic person who is a self-starter and who will make the most of being part of a small high-performing team delivering a key asset to the New Zealand people. Ideally you will have PRINCE2, PMP or some formal project management qualification and have experience managing projects. We will be looking for someone with strong communication and relationship management skills and sound administration ability. You will be highly organised, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.You don't have to tick every box.
