Our client is a well-established civil construction company who have secured significant projects for 2024/25. They are now on a lookout for a Christchurch based project manager who will undertake the below duties:To provide off site management for construction contracts, in the Civil & electrical infrastructure industry.Manage and plan contract works in accordance with requirements of specifications or regulations of the principal, and in accordance with Martin Civil Constructions Health Safety and Quality systems.Consult with the Operations/Site Manager regarding programming of works and work to be done.Control all work using the company's computer-based management systems.Prepare, revise and ensure compliance with QA, health & safety and resource management systems.Plan and coordinate work to meet budget and programmed deadlines.Co-ordinate Subcontractors and Client / Engineer site inspections.Liaise closely with on-site managers to coordinate activities of workers engaged in construction of buildings and civil works.Advance ordering of materials that require fabrication or long lead times.Read and action drawings and specifications.Control all work by variation.Prepare end of month claims.Assist with tender preparation for winning profitable work.You must have:Prior experience in similar roleMust have contactable referencesMust have a class 1 licenseMust be able to pass a drug testMust have a clean MOJMust be able to work out of town when required for any projectIf you are ticking the boxes above then we would like to hear from you.
