We are thrilled to offer a rewarding position for a seasoned Project Manager to become part of our Transmission team stationed in Rotorua. This role involves managing projects throughout the Bay of Plenty region. We seek a qualified and enthusiasticProject Manager to join our Operations team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you'll be part of a team that covers project management of electricity transmission substation build and upgrade projects. Reporting to the Delivery Manager - Projects, you'll be in-charge for the successful delivery of projects from handover to closure to achieve specific outcomes for the customer and Northpower. You'll prioritize safety, assist with work plans, and ensure thorough completion of relevant field paperwork. Being the Project Manager, you will also be responsible for:- Ensure projects are completed on time and budget- Manage the handover of pricing from Estimating to Project team- Complete and closeout projects in a timely manner including financial reconciliation, job files, customer required documentation, contract performance feedback- Effectively manage customer liaison and arrangements- Scope and deliver materials and contract resources accurately- Manage financial position and performance of active projects including invoicing and work in progress- Ensure pricing and task plans are prepared and reviewed for accuracy and peer reviewed before submission of pricing/quotations- Periodically you will also be required to support and lead design and estimating activitiesWhat's in it for you?A role with us will enable you to achieve satisfaction of playing an important part in helping deliver essential services to our communities. Ideally, you'll be someone with an understanding of how to deliver projects and would come with previous Project Management experience.Additionally, possessing the following would be beneficial:- Industry knowledge and experience in Electrical Transmission- Great understanding of the fundamentals of project and job management- Ability to interact and work with stakeholders including schedulers, field managers, private and network customers, consultants, contractors and internal members- Full clean Class 1 driver's licence- Critical thinking and contemplative skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment- Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- A strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems and make decisions- Ability to motivate and influence others while demonstrating integrity and trustThis role will demand a high level of integrity and focus on safety and quality while achieving on-time completion of projects and hitting financial targets.
