As Project Manager, based at either Rotorua, Hamilton or Taupo office, you'll be responsible for the establishment and management of projects. Ensuring a high standard of forward planning, communication, collaboration and pro-active control of internal resources, external contractors and consultants. You'll be given the freedom to explore and excel in the following key result areas:
Ownership and Leadership of projects and their related contracts
Strong customer service focus
Drive project related business cases through our internal process
Deliver projects to defined environmental, health and safety requirements
Focus on Financial, Quality and Timely performance of assigned projects
Effective management of multi-disciplinary project teams, Engineering, Financial and other resources
Provide innovative and effective solutions to challenges
We are looking for:
Extensive Project and Contract Management experience, which is clearly outlined on your resume. Ideally this has been gained in the energy, mining or drilling sectors
An engineering or project management qualification to graduate level
PMP certification will be seen as favourable. If not already certified it will be expected that the successful application will work towards certification
Highly developed leadership qualities and the proven ability to work with a wide range of people to achieve positive results in project management
Good written and communication skills are critical, as is solid experience in instigating and delivering projects both effectively and efficiently
Experience with hydroelectric plant or/and Thermal Plant, tendering process and contract management, good computer literacy in MS Office and project management tools will be a definite advantage
