Te Whiwhinga mahi?- The Opportunity The role is based in our office at the Viaduct and includes construction, contract and detailed design management, procurement, stakeholder management, and project financial reporting.
The role will be provided oversight and guidance by a Senior Project Manager or Principal Project Manager, and will work as part of a project team, with supervision, for more complex projects.
Multiple smaller or less complex projects may be managed by this role.
Key Responsibilities include: Establishing and leading project teams (both from within AT and externally) for typical projects to enable the successful delivery of AT business objectives and optimise time, cost and quality project performance outcomes.Leading and monitoring project teams in applying the project management principles, processes, procedures and reporting requirements outlined in the AT Enterprise Project Management Framework and providing expert advice on legislation, regulations, guidelines, and standards.Ensuring project strategies, plans and activities incorporate the safety philosophy of Vision Zero and overall organisational and workplace safety.Leading input into internal and external reporting and requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in relation to all required reporting.Involved in tender processes, implementing procurement strategies and effective governance arrangements to monitor provider, supplier and contractor performance.Frequent liaison with contractors and consultants which will often require travel between our head office and our active construction sites.In terms of NZS3910, taking on the role of Engineer's Representative or Engineer's Representative Assistant depending on the complexity of the project.Communicating effectively with key project stakeholders to build trust and persuade and influence project outcomes, including presenting at public meetings, and running in-person or virtual meetings with our internal and external clients.Ko?koe?tenei?| About you Relevant industry-recognised tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, or project management - bachelor, diploma, or certificate.Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification (PMP or PRINCE2 or equivalent)Preferably with 5 years' post graduate experience in engineering or project management.Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and MS Project or Primavera.Must hold a valid Class 1 full driver's licence and be able to travel between our head office and construction sites throughout Auckland (AT vehicles are available for use).Ko wai matou?| About us?&?Nou te rourou - What's in it for you?
