Mo te tunga |About the role The ProjectManager – Design Delivery is a pivotal role responsible for providing healthplanning expertise for functional space planning on health facility projects,both locally and regionally. This role involves managing clinical engagement inthe design process and implementing change management principles based on bestpractice research and guidelines. The Project Manager ensures achievement ofproject objectives and milestones, managing risk and quality control throughoutthe project lifecycle, ensuring smooth transition to business as usual, toenable realization of benefits.
KeyResponsibilities:
Provide health planningexpertise on the full range of care services including preventative,outpatient, acute, post-acute, and rehabilitation healthcare facilities,following best practice research and guidelines.Manage clinicalengagement in health facility design through effective planning andcoordination of clinical user groups to achieve robust clinical input intodesign.Provide technicalassistance in business case formation, project set-up, work plandevelopment, and budgeting as requested and appropriate.Ensure all stakeholders(staff, unions, community, Manawhenua, and other relevant consumers) caninput into system design consistent with the requirements of the project.Lead various groups toensure that process design drives building design and developmentrequirements.Liaise with theProgramme Manager and Clinical Lead(s) on progress, issues, and barriers.Challengethe status quo and demonstrate effective problem-solving to achieve qualityoutcomes that support best practise andmodel of care deliveryEstablishand maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders.Develop risk mitigationstrategies for projects to ensure business continuity, minimizing clinicalrisk and adverse media.Identify, review,advise on the selection of vendors, sub-contractors, or consultants tomeet project needs within Procurement policies and process.Understanding ofclinical processes and practices in the health environment.Experience inimplementing change in a complex environment.A strong processmanagement philosophy.Relevant Tertiary orHealth and/or management qualifications.Advanced MS Officesuite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).Experience in clinical healthplanningClinical experienceExperience leading/managing aprojectContinuous Quality ImprovementexperienceProject Managementtraining/qualificationsExperience in using projectmanagement software"Ko ngatangata, te matua mahi - Puttingpeople at the heart of all we do" We arecommitted to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles by ensuring ourpartnership with Maori are at the forefront of all our conversations.
