The Project Fundraiser will support current and emerging landscape projects to raise funds from non-government sources for their operations, and support fundraising for science, innovation, capacity and capability projects. The first priority will be to work with current landscape projects to understand their future funding needs and raise sufficient funds to defend areas once they are clear of predators.Te ahua o te turunga | The nature of the positionCritical elements of this role will include:Develop a strategy to increase non-government financial investment to landscape projects and the Company.Building the fundraising pipeline.Building strong relationships with key personnel from our landscape projects and provide expert fundraising advice to landscape projects.Building strong relationships with personnel from other organisations in the Predator Free system to ensure strategic development of national fundraising strategies.Monitor and report outcomes against relevant operational KPIs for outcomes (including quarterly and annual reporting).Work with staff and project partners in the analysis, management and communication of relevant data to guide future management intervention decisions and future investment prioritisation.Keep abreast of new opportunities for philanthropic and corporate financial support.Understand funding needs of landscape projects and their unique points of difference, and match funders to landscape projects.Work with current and emerging PF2050 projects to create engaging cases for financial or in-kind support.Assist with researching domestic and international grant opportunities.Assist the projects to prepare and manage grant applications.Build a network of philanthropic organisations and individuals.Collaborate with key personnel of partners in the Predator Free system and support the development and implementation of a system-wide multi-agency fundraising strategy.Engage with current and potential donors and supporters to build a relationship with Predator Free 2050 Limited and explore ways to increase the relationship.Develop and foster new long-term relationships with prospective funders and philanthropic supporters to achieve agreed donor acquisition targets.Inspire key influencers and key stakeholders to embrace the fundraising and philanthropy campaigns.Maintain donor communication and satisfaction through supporting timely and responsive interactions when needed.Predator Free 2050 Limited is a Crown-owned, charitable company established to help deliver the New Zealand governments ambitious goal of eradicating possums, mustelids, and rats by 2050.We provide co-funding to enable predator elimination projects at large landscape scale, as well as supporting the breakthrough science and development of new tools to underpin them. Our current investment totals nearly $76 million of total project costs.Predator Free 2050 is a complex and challenging programme but people all over Aotearoa are taking part - in backyards, parks, farms, and donating resources and time. You are a skilled wordsmith, able to craft and adapt messages to engage new and existing funders and investors.Ideally, your skills, knowledge, and experience will include:Awareness of the New Zealand philanthropy sector.Demonstrable track record of successfully securing funds from non-government sources.Awareness of the Predator Free 2050 sector.Ability to develop and maintain networks and key relationships.Experience in business partnership and/or sponsorship models.Experience developing and delivering fundraising strategies and implementing business plans for the full fundraising mix.A relevant tertiary qualification or 3+ years comparable relevant experience is required.Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
