OpportunityWe have a unique opportunity for a Project Engineer to join and support our high performing team based in Whangarei. This is a key role for our region, and will be part of setting the direction and overseeing the daily management, development and delivery of the business.This role offers diversity, challenge, and an ability to make your mark. The position will require you to demonstrate a commitment to health and safety in the workplace, plus take a high level of initiative. Ideally you will have proven experience in leading projects and managing contractors.You will be responsible for:Management of project team, subcontractors and local labour crewAdherence to company safety, environmental and quality policies and proceduresEnsure all plant is maintained regarding the suitability, safety, operating condition and cost-effectivenessCost MangementPrepare a specific programme to achieve the construction dates and milestonesLead and champion Fulton Hogan best practices, work procedures, health and safety, environment and quality procedures, customer relationship management on all projectsEnsure Fulton Hogan procedures for supplier and subcontractor management are followed and all paperwork is completed for set upManage and develop internal capabilitySkills and experience that will ensure your success;Over five years' experience in a Project Engineering role within Construction or contractingHigh computer literacy including Microsoft excel and data collection softwareExperience managing long and short-term contracts, with the ability to meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication and relationship building skillsWell organised to be able to manage multiple projects on the go at any one timeA style that leads by exampleAn ability to achieve team resultsWhat's in it for youAt Fulton Hogan we truly care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools they need to succeed.
