Our team is made up of electrical engineers who can combine proven electrical engineering with emerging and new technologies to help Vector create a new energy future. The Project Engineering team provides design solutions to Vector, enhancing our electricity network to ensure best in class service to Vector’s customers. The designs combine traditional engineering methodologies with the integration of new and emerging technologies, e.g. non-wires alternatives. This role is for an engineer who is competent to practise independently and can undertake designs, review & certify designs undertaken by other engineers. It also requires the project engineer to verify compliance of installations undertaken by contractors.
Who we are looking for:
This role is for a Project Engineer with approximately 3 to 5 years of project engineering / design experience in power systems or industrial projects. Experience in the following will be ideal:
Primary and secondary (desirable) design experience on low, medium and high voltage projects (400V to 110kV).
AutoCAD
Safety in design
Technical coordination of projects, end to end
Onsite Testing & Commissioning support
The role interacts closely with the wider project and engineering team, so your communication and collaboration skills will also be important for success. You will be self-driven with a real desire to contribute to the wider team and add to a great team culture.
