"Kotahi ano te kaupapa, ko te oranga o te Tangata"."There is only one purpose to our work; the wellness and wellbeing of the person".Ara Poutama, Aotearoa's nation-wide strategy Hokai Rangi, expresses our organisation's intention to transform the way we operate to ensure that the people in our care, and their whanau, are supported to reduce recidivism and improve the humanising and healing aspects of the work we do.One of Ara Poutama Aotearoa's strategic investment is to build new facilities at Waikeria Prison including Te Wai o Pure which will house the residential unit for Hikitia a mental health and addiction service (MHAS), designed to address the oranga needs of nga tane in our care.This service is being designed, implemented, and governed in partnership with our Mana Whenua – Ahi Ka and Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Waikato (formerly Waikato DHB).Nga kawenga | About the role Provide project co-ordination, expertise and administration within the Waikeria Prison Operation readinessProject Team as part of the wider Waikeria Prison Development Programme and as assigned by the Operational Readiness Lead.Work collaboratively alongside project teams to coordinate project development and delivery across the Waikeria Prison Operational Readiness Project Team and work with wider Project Managers, including the Waikeria Recruitment Lead as and when needed.The role accountabilities include: * Co-ordinate the preparation of Operational Readiness plans and schedules and maintain and monitor these; * Assist with the administration and co-ordination of Operational Readiness and union meetings.* Coordinate activities and communicate with stakeholders involved in the implementation of operational Readiness requirements including training; * Proactively provide general administrative support and ensure all project documentation is maintained appropriately and as required; * Monitor and report on progress of activities against the Operational Readiness plan; * Maintain issues and risk registers so that decisions and lessons learnt are reviewed, considered and used for next planning phases; * Collate Operational readiness reporting; inclusive of recruitment * Help maintain a safe working environment within Ara Poutama Aotearoa by reporting hazards, accidents and near misses, and adhering to health and safety standards and processes;
