About the opportunity The Programme Manager, ICT Delivery Services is responsible for the successful delivery of key programmes of work, or large multi-dependency projects across ICT portfolios. This work contributes to Transpower's strategic priority to 'Sustain our social licence to operate' by ensuring that the applications that enable Transpower to provide services to New Zealanders are reliable, operating effectively, and evolving to meet future needs. This role ensures that: IST strategic programmes are delivered in the most optimised (cost, time, safety, and quality) manner.Customers and stakeholders are well informed and engaged throughout the delivery according to all key dimensions.Appropriate governance mechanisms for Transpower are consistently followed, minimising risk and maximising benefits.Over the next 18-24 months you will also play a key role in: Establishing, planning, and delivering programmes of work from strategic investment cases through to implementation and closureTaking accountability for end-to-end delivery of specific programmes of work, large multi-dependency, or integrated projects across the ICT PortfoliosDefining scope and accurately estimating costs, timescales and resources required to deliver the workBuilding programme schedules, providing effective presentation of the overall objectives, gaining buy in and sign off Collaborating with the Portfolio Delivery Managers to ensure delivery is in accordance with business plansProviding resource planning, management, and forecasting for integrated projects / programmes of workDeveloping, implementing, and managing interdependency plansAnalysing, evaluating, and managing programme risks and issuesCommunicating plans to internal Transpower teams and relevant external / vendor groupsAbout you As a highly experienced Senior ICT Programme Manager, you'll have delivered ICT programmes in large and complex commercially focused organisations. With outstanding written and verbal communication skills, you are comfortable with both waterfall and agile delivery approaches and able to balance high work volumes with accuracy and attention to detail. Your CV and cover letter will clearly demonstrate: 10+ years of relevant experience, delivering large programmes of work or key strategic projectsSignificant experience working in complex deliveryProven experience managing key stakeholders and managing large / complex business change projectsSound experience in delivering significant vendor RFIs/ RFPsExpert knowledge of programme management tools, processes, and practicesExtensive knowledge of enterprise programme, management, organisational management, policies, practices, and technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills at Executive and Board levelProven ability to provide expert advice to the organisation, Executive Leadership teams, and external partiesAbility to quickly identify information and material to reach a decision and deal with ambiguity, resistance and / or competing priorities to progress workA tertiary qualification and / or equivalent relevant experiencePMP, Management of Portfolios (MoP) or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or an equivalent certificationWorking at Transpower Aotearoa is powered by the people who work here.
