Te Kuratini Tuwhera (Open Polytechnic) is New Zealand's specialist provider of vocational education delivered in an open distance flexible learning modality. Each year around 30,000 learners gain the skills they need for their current or future careers from the Open Polytechnic.
We have the following opportunities for people to join our team.
Programme Delivery Manager x 2
Reporting to the Manager Learning Delivery, the Programme Delivery Manager (PDM) will lead and manage the delivery of a range of courses and programmes. Reporting to PDMs are Academic Staff Members and Student Learning Supporters.
The allocation of learning and teaching activities to staff is a primary function of the PDM's role, along with the monitoring and improvement of course and programme performance.
You will also work collaboratively as part of a team of Programme Delivery Managers to ensure the highest standards of learning, teaching and research activity are attained.
If you have the following qualification, skills and experience we would like to hear from you.
A degree level qualification is essential, a higher qualification would be desirable
Proven management experience
Experience in the tertiary education sector, preferably in a leadership role
Experience and success in working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve agreed outcomes
A learner centric approach to the effective provision of high-quality vocational education
The ability to influence others and drive change
