About the role: Our client presently manufactures storage water heaters and boiling water units for sale, primarily within New Zealand and Australia. The manufacturing processes include but are not limited to the following: tank rolling, forming, welding (Arc, MIG, and TIG), brazing, flaring, clenching, coining, piercing, grit blasting, spraying, enameling, hydro testing, foaming, Jacketing, and general assembly. Production Team Lead responsible (not limited to): Ensure production, quality, and safety goals are metMonitor production activity, and identify process, equipment, component, assembly, and finished part problems. Troubleshoot causes and develop solutions, notifying the Plant Manager of problems and solutionsCoordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivityCoach, guide and develop team members about the execution of tasks, health and safety, and product qualityEnsure adequate resources are available for the effective execution of the production planCoordinate and deliver staff training, assisting in creating and maintaining training policies and procedures and on-board new staffEnsure Health and Safety procedures are followed and investigate any incidentsIdentify issues/hazards and help to resolve them, andInvestigate causes of faults and initiate corrective measuresMonitor the quality of materials, products, and operating equipmentDrive continuous quality and process improvementTo be successful in the role: 2-3 years of experience in productionBe enthusiastic and positive and create a positive team culturePrevious experience in engineering or technical industry will be advantageousCommunicate well in both written and verbalOn offer: Full-time, Monday-FridayFlexible start/finish timeHourly rate of $30-$35 based on experience Immediate startYou must be eligible to work in NZ Apply now: Apply now or contact Zainab Ali at 027 577 3172 for a confidential chat.
