The Role: Reporting directly to the Production Planning Manager and ultimately the Head of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), we are looking for a Production Planner to join our passionate S&OP team in Hokitika. In this key role you will be responsible for planning the quantity of goods to be produced and how often they will be made to fulfil our sales demand and maintain our inventory levels, ensuring our products are made efficiently and on time.
You will also be responsible for:
balancing daily product flow through the site, creating daily production schedules for each plant and monitoring compliance with those schedules - working closely with business departments to ensure effective and accurate product manufacturingmaintaining a relationship with the Production Managers and their teams to measure and improve customer service (DIFOT) and Production Plan Performancerecording and reporting all changes to production plans and schedulesleading root-cause analysis related to production planning and production capacities to meet customer demandworking closely with the Demand Planner and Material Planner to ensure smooth and efficient end to end planning. The successful applicant will ideally possess: previous experience in Production Planning (strongly preferred - or other relevant planning/co-ordination/senior administration experience) however, it is possible that training could also be given to applicants with transferable skills who are interested in pursuing a career in planning / supply chainextensive Microsoft Office Suite experience, with intermediate Excel skillsstrong communication skills with interpersonal and influencing abilityproven problem-solving ability with the ability to exercise sound judgement and decision makingstrong attention to detail to ensure accuracy This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that takes pride and passion in everything we do.
