Production Manager - Meat Industry

Skills Required:

- NCEA Level 3 plus Production Management Diploma ideal
- Previous experience in meat processing environment at a Supervisory or Management level essential
- Reports directly to the Plant Manager and is an integral part of the management team
- Assists Plant Manager in overseeing the processing of stock to company, customer and regulatory standards, whilst maximising the plant's profitability and efficiency
- Health and Safety complianceDuties Required:

- Consistent monitoring of processing quality plant-wide to ensure high standards at all times
- Solid knowledge of cuts/processing techniques to assist other staff and help maintain benchmarks
- Analysing information to recognise areas for improvement and translate this to practical enhancements/solutions in the Processing Departments
- Ensuring labour is utilised to optimum efficiency and throughput
- Ensuring health and safety procedures and regulations are adhered to throughout the production process
- Guiding Supervisory teams through change and providing leadership and direction to staff
- Continuously improving standards and profitability
- Ensure employee records are kept up-to-date
