Job Description

About the role: Reporting to the Site Manager and acting as the 2IC, you will be responsible for managing production operations, ensuring the safe, continuous and efficient running of our Pet food Facility. Our Petfood operation employs 120 staff and produces around 20,000 tons of canned goods, pouches and dog roll products annually. Massive capital investment is currently taking place at the site and we require a suitably qualified person to manage the factory. Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of process improvement initiatives (as per the Kraft Heinz Manufacturing Playbook) Promote a performance-based culture that encourages ownership, continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. Manage the factory budget, provide operational leadership and drive key continuous improvement and capital projects. Deliver significant year on year improvement across all key measures including food safety and quality, environmental health and safety and operational cost. Maintain a customer focus, ensuring CSL is maintained at a high level and all growth opportunities are fully explored and realised where it makes business sense. Ensure the factory is always fully compliant with all regulatory requirements About you: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a food-manufacturing environment. Ability to inspire and motivate a team. A proven track record of results and continuous improvement in manufacturing or related roles. Experience in leading significant changes and successfully managing teams within a complex manufacturing environment. An experienced manager of people and projects. Experienced in a high-volume manufacturing and/or distribution environment. Succeeds at influencing a wide spectrum of stakeholders through methodology.
