Job Description About the role: We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experience Production Manager – Afternoon Shift to join our team based at our Mangere manufacturing site. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee and manage the Afternoon Shift operations. This is a permanent full-time hands-onrole working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at 3.15pm to 11.15pm. On a day-to-day basis you will: Run an efficient team on schedule Coordinate the production line, ensuring that products are produced efficiently and to the highest quality standards Collaborate with other departments such as Sheetmetal, Coil, Custom Fabrication, Paint line, Assembly, Logistics and Maintenance to ensure that production runs smoothly Train and positively coach employees to ensure that they are competent in their roles, and that they adhere to company policies and procedures Cross training in other departments if required. Qualifications To be successful in the role, you will have: Demonstrated Leadership skills – including motivating, leading and managing a team Proven experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (eg: Sheetmetal CNC machinery, press tooling optimisation, copper tube manufacture and brazing) Quality focused with good attention to detail and be safety focused The ability to interpret engineering drawings Excellent work ethics including attendance and punctuality Additional Information Stable employment within a proven company and working with a great team Opportunity to upskill and develop Free on-site car parking Subsidised on-site café Discounted health insurance premiums through Southern Cross.
