Ko ta matou kaupapa | About the project The project "Novel Biofeedstocks using Indigenous Resources" is a four-year initiative to demonstrate the feasibility and scalability of a lab process for growing single cell proteins from extremophile bacteria and algae as alternative feedstocks for animal feed and other valuable products. The project involves building and operating a 1000L pilot plant that can produce biomass from geothermal methane and carbon dioxide gases. We aim to prove the technical, economic, and environmental viability of the process and to explore the potential markets and applications of the products. The project site will be located near Taupo with main project support and design based in Rotorua. Can you drive market development and enjoy resolving a constant variety of complex issues? We have the job for you! Bring your CX, UX and project management expertise to a highly competent technical team looking to decarbonize food production. You will: Lead the project to delivery. You will work closely with the Governance Group Technical Team Leader, our industry partners and stakeholders to achieve our project goals. You will develop and connect business strategy, identify customer targets and needs during the development of our product. You will engage in cross-functional collaboration to ensure team members are aligned to customer requirements and the results needed to drive value for our potential customers and business; work closely with potential customers and other project partners. Your focus is to create a feasible and valuable product that achieves business goals and consumer needs. We need you to: Define our segment strategy, workflow/product requirements, and accelerating adoption into markets. Develop and execute communications and stakeholder engagement plans. Write and present governance and project reports and publications on the progress and outcomes of the project. Lead the economic analysis of the products and market channels. Assess needs of customers and markets, develop business plans to create solutions that will gain market share. Collect input through direct communication with project industry partners, potential customers and consumers. Build customer value propositions and conceptualise new business models. Validate these propositions with key customers. Build market requirements documents to develop future products and a strong commercial roadmap defining the commercialization pathway. Develop and deliver highly tailored collaterals such as presentations, demonstrations, datasheets, white papers, customer testimonials, web pages, and studies that highlight the value proposition of our solution to new and existing market segments. Build performance indicators and benchmarks to correlate advancements in this space to customer outcomes. Conduct competitive analysis and develop adaptable positioning. Conduct market intelligence and build a comprehensive overview of the present and future state of the segment. BSc, MSc or PhD in relevant sciences and/or engineering Experience in strategic product marketing and business development Experience with the end-to-end workflow to stand up product in market Strong financial acumen – can build compelling and thoughtful business cases Proven track record to build strong networks with customers and/or collaborators Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal that resonate with diverse audiences are needed for the success of this position Proven track record to work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams. Willing and able to travel internationally when required You are proactive, creative, problem-solving oriented and can work independently and under pressure.
