PRODUCT PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE KITCHEN THINGSKitchen Things is the specialist in Premium European Cooking Appliances We are a 100 family owned New Zealand business with 17 retail stores Kitchen Things part of the Jones Family Business was established in 1986 and was the first retailer to bring European appliances to New Zealand About the role This role will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Executive Chairman and Kitchen Things Regional Management based in our offices in Penrose We need a dynamic individual who is able to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers Not only are we looking for someone with strong negotiation skills commercial acumen we need this person to be analytical in their thinking and have strong product management experience Key Accountabilities Retail Buyer Appliances mainly cooking and laundry appliances for a number of premium brands including Smeg ASKO Miele Neff Gaggenau Bosch Leibherr SubZero Wolf Zenith KWC Franke Samsung Falmec Insinkerator Supplier Relationships and Product Negotiations Store Merchandise Planning and maintenance Price book management Store and supplier communications and liaison Policy and system management for product and pricing Range reviews and planning Staff Management the Retail Merchandise Assistant reports to this role About You Minimum 5 year s experience of proven negotiation skills and strong supplier relationships Retail planning experience preferably with high volume retail brands Must have good attention to detail Strong planning skills Exceptional Microsoft excel skills are essential Self motivated and displays passion drive and self confidence Youre a problem solver and love a challenge Youll take this role and make it your own In addition we are also looking for the following Strong written and oral communication skills A willingness to learn and develop A strong understanding of the product life cycle Marketing experience preferably with display planning experience Market Analysis skills to inform strategy On offer is a competitive salary package along with the opportunity to work in a great collaborative small team environment If you share our strong family values are ready for a new career and are up for this fast paced fast growing company we would love to hear from you www jonesfamilybusiness co nz www kitchenthings co nz Tip please view our website and get to know us before submitting your Cover letter and CV no generic cover letters please we genuinely want to understand why we should consider you for this role Debbie Barker HR Manager hr jonesfamilybusiness co nz Applications close 31 October 2019
