Procurement Specialist - Fixed Term

ABOUT THE ROLE This newly created role, on a 12 month fixed-term basis, will see you supporting the Strategic Sourcing Manager as we go through a super busy period. Key areas of focus will be: Supplier Management: Build relationships, monitor performance, and resolve disputes.Financial Planning: Monitor costs, contribute to budgets, and identify savings opportunities.Stakeholder Management: Establish strong relationships, coordinate tenders, and structure deals.Contract Management: Draft contracts, ensure compliance, and manage renewals.Improvement Initiatives: Communicate changes, identify cost drivers, and develop proposals.Reporting: Prepare reports, manage databases, and influence vendor choices.Project Scope Planning: Contribute to project plans, monitor progress, and report to stakeholders.Compliance: Adhere to policies, regulations, and quality management systems. ABOUT YOU Ideally you will have 1-2 years in a procurement role, although we are open to other backgrounds that may relate to finance, experience working with suppliers, negotiations or dealing with contracts. But ultimately you will have: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, negotiation, and contract managementStrong analytical, communication, and organisational skillsBe inquisitive, willing to learn and flexible, changing from one piece of work to anotherBe a relationship builder and keen to build some strong connections both internally and externallyAble to commit to a 12 month period As part of the Fletcher Building Group, Laminex could be your stepping stone into further career opportunities.
