Procurement/Sourcing Manager

We are the leading brand in the poultry industry here in New Zealand, expanding our reach into international markets with a range of fresh, frozen, and value-added chicken products.
To maintain our position and uphold our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Procurement/Sourcing Manager to join our team in Newmarket.
The Procurement Department key function is to drive cost initiatives with emphasis on total cost of ownership whilst managing risks inherent to supplier relationships. The Procurement/Sourcing manager will strive to improve supplier performance, delivering quality to the business and providing support across the value chain. They also focus on maintaining current agreements and key supplier relationships. The position holds vendors to account for service/delivery through regular performance assessments. To excel in this position, you should have substantial experience in a large and intricate operational environment, preferably in FMCG. Your ability to implement best practices, drive change, build strong relationships, and demonstrate commercial savvy will make you a highly competitive candidate for this role.
Key responsibilities include: Development and recommendations on the Procurement strategic planMaintaining current agreements and key strategic relationshipsLeading a team of two procurement specialistsAnalysis and Reporting on procurement performanceManage Vendor Relationships and Vendor PerformanceNegotiation of contracts to drive cost-out and efficiencies.Ensure Suppliers are fully compliant with Food legislation requirements.Manage Supplier disputes and drive to resolution.Requirements: 2-3 years' experience in a similar role or being outstanding in a Procurement specialist/category manager role and ready to lead a small team.Project management and continuous improvement at your coreNegotiation and contract managementAnalytical experience and ideally visualisation tool savvyAs well as an awesome and experienced team we offer: Health Insurance (extends to your partner and children under 16)Life InsuranceStaff Sales on productsBrand new officesKiwiSaver contributions of up to 4%Don't spend another year thinking about making a change, apply today and make your mark in our journey.
