This is a role where you will play a crucial part in shaping our procurement strategy and ensuring optimal use of resources.This role will be suited for some passionate about building relationships, enhancing efficiency, and driving responsible procurement practices.In this role, you will:Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategiesAssist managers to evaluate and manager supplier performance through contractual agreements, quality standards and delivery schedulesEnsure procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standardsWork across the organisation to align procurement activities with WorkSafe's strategy and ensure business group needs are metOversee procurement budgeting and forecasting and monitor accordinglyTo be successful, you will bring:Senior level experience within a procurement or commercial role within governmentStrong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skillsAn understanding of business planning, budgeting and the operating model to apply sound judgement and evidence-based decision-makingA positive, inclusive attitude to grow a thriving cultureThe full position description is available from the advert on our careers centre: WorkSafe New Zealand Salary rangeAs part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $123,774 to $163,698, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $137,082 to $141,740.
