 Cyclone Gabrielle has had a significant and long-lasting impact on the infrastructure, environment and communities in our region. This is why HBRC is boosting the capacity in our dedicated teams of experts who are actively engaged in recovery work – so that we can deliver for our communities and our environment. These projects will make a real difference for Hawke's Bay, offering you an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to positive outcomes for the region.
The role will oversee all aspects of procurement and contract management processes for HBRC's newly formed Project Management Office. This space will have multiple projects ranging from $20-70 million underway over the next four years. This is a permanent, fulltime roles that will require you to be based in the Hawke's Bay as part of a wider delivery team.
About you | E pa ana ki a koe: You will be able to demonstrate a profound understanding of procurement processes and contract management, setting you apart as a skilled negotiator who consistently secure favourable outcomes. Collaboration is where you excel, seamlessly working with internal stakeholders to exceed their procurement needs. You will thrive on managing complex procurement projects, ensuring precision, attention to detail and efficiency. Your commitment to continuous improvement and innovation will support ongoing progress, growth and alignment with industry best practice.
Ideally you will also have:
Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary qualification .Experience in leading the procurement and contracts management activity on large scale programmes and projects.Experience in construction of large civil and earthworks projects.Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility to keep up with the ever-changing nature of HBRC.The salary range for this role is between $105,480 to $120,000 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
