We Go Beyond for A Safer World Process Improvement Engineer (Software) Te Turanga - The Role Join our Manufacturing Engineering Team as a Process Improvement Engineer (Software). This role works to develop and continuously improve the "lean" processes we use at Tait which keep our automated assembly lines working smoothly and efficiently with short lead times. This is vital to developing and manufacturing the high-tech products we do, in a complex and competitive industry.
The duties of the role will include the following: Cover the full software life cycle from requirements gathering to analysis, design, development, and deployment, to improve our assembly processes and automated control systems. Troubleshoot issues and help keep our factory running. Provide tools and information to assure the quality of our processes. Engage in problem solving, process enhancement and supporting a lean culture dedicated to continuous improvement. O pukenga - About You To be successful in this role, you will have experience in the entire software life cycle and be able to translate user needs into effective applications using analysis, problem solving and good communication. You will be able to apply 'big picture' thinking to complex systems, finding long term solutions to solve problems and bridge the gap between systems, tools, and the people who use them. It would also be helpful to have:
The ability to develop, maintain and improve applications within both .NET and VB frameworks. Experience in working with SQL and relational databases. Experience with web development technologies, Microsoft Excel/VBA and other development tools.
