We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced banker to develop their career as a Private Banker by supporting the needs of our high-value clients, in the Canterbury region.
We spoke with our Head of Private Bank (Wellington & South Island) who let us know the following about the role:
What are the key focus areas for this role? Building and maintaining existing client relationships that align to the BNZ Private Bank value and service proposition.Growing the Private Bank client-base with a clear focus on funds under advice and management alongside managing clients' transactional banking and cash management strategies.Building strong relationship internally and externally to support the BNZ brand in market.Maintain high professional and compliance standards.What is the team culture and environment like? You will be joining a team of highly motivated individuals, who are inclusive and able to challenge each other respectfully.
It is a fast-paced environment, so if you enjoy being busy and working autonomously then you will thrive in this team!
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? The ability to make a real difference in the way BNZ is perceived and step up to the needs of our high-net-worth clients.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? We are looking for someone who is open minded and inquisitive, with a game-changer attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Ideally you will also have great attention to detail, and given the client focus of the role, you will enjoy building and developing relationships with clients.
You will also be a highly skilled lender, able to work with complex lending and have a solution based mindset.
