This is across an incredibly diverse range of goods and services to ensure its sites can function. You will work across complex information technology, property and health and rehabilitation services contracts and procurements and commercial legal issues (and everything else in between!).As the Principal Solicitor Commercial, you will lead the provision of independent advice for legal services in relation to the procurement and delivery of the Department's major (high value and high risk) commercial contracts and provide strategic advice on complex and high-profile legal issues that arise in relation to the procurement and delivery of the Department's major commercial contracts.You will also provide mentoring and support (e.g. peer review) to the other solicitors in the very friendly and tight-knit Commercial Team (both on major contracts and commercial legal work generally).We're looking for a qualified solicitor with proven experience in commercial law, negotiation skills, and leadership abilities.
