We have a diverse and immensely talented team that leads Merkle's strategic, consulting, research, service design, and UX/UI design capabilities, and we now are looking for a passionate consultant to join our team to be our Strategic guru through our client's transformation journeys.
What your role and typical day might look like Our Principal Consultant (Experience & Strategy) plays a lead role to clarify and align diverse perspectives on the true problems to be solved, the direction of travel and what the future should look like, and the best path to get there. The Strategy Lead will understand the holistic business elements to achieve success, and be expert at distilling, prioritising and planning for, and communicating these ingredients effectively. They will be expert at engaging and constructively challenging Senior Leadership Teams, while building trust and creating opportunities to improve the value they receive from investment in experience-led transformation.
Showcasing your passion and expertise in Strategy design and delivery, you'll lead, facilitate, and educate internally and externally. You'll be expert at navigating the nuances and complexities of different business contexts and stakeholders to provide value and influence positive client outcomes. With your expertise and experience managing change, you'll motivate key leaders to take ownership and embark on their own journey of change, while helping them inspire, activate, and prepare their organisations for the upcoming cultural and behavioural transformation.
You'll also play a key role in planning and identifying the appropriate approach and resourcing for diverse technology implementation projects. You'll regularly apply your knowledge of end-to-end project delivery, across discovery, analysis, definition, design, and delivery – ideally in a digital context. You'll be regularly contributing to our client account planning, identifying and shaping new opportunities and exploring innovative ways to add value.
Responsibilities include: Engage and collaborate closely with clients and key stakeholders to understand their business objectives, challenges, and opportunities for improvement and relieve pain points.Develop comprehensive business transformation strategies and tailored recommendations that align with client goals, needs and industry best practices.Co-define operational excellence initiatives to streamline processes, optimise resources to deliver efficiency.Co-design customer-centric solutions that enhance the overall customer experience across all touchpoints.Identify key digital transformation efforts leveraging innovative technologies to enhance operations, products, and services, including guidance and support throughout the implementation process to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and outcomes.Contribute to the development and implementation of change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and mitigate resistance to change.Being a thought leader and Merkle representative in the Experience community, immersing yourself into the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of methodologies, frameworks, and tools used in business transformation consulting.Attract, retain, support and grow the capability of the team through mentorship, leadership and quality assurance to ensure a high-quality output for our clients.A bit about you Extensive experience in management consulting (or similar), with a focus on business transformation, customer experience, operational excellence, and digital transformation. Intrinsic knowledge that business transformation is primarily about people, and that technology is an enabler. Familiarity with experience transformation platforms preferred (CRM, ERP, MarTech and Commerce). Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of developing and implementing impactful solutions.Confident communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Proven experience leading workshops, probing and challenging pain points to uncover details to get the root cause problems. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a collaborative environment. Collaborative, practical, pragmatic and resilient – can produce their best work under pressure, share knowledge and motivate team members to get the right outcomes.
