This is an exciting time as Te Putea Matua continues to transform, setting up to meet an evolving mandate and purpose. This permanent role sits within an ongoing multi-year project programme, that will enable Te Putea Matua to operationalise its updated role and responsibilities under the Deposit Takers Act 2023 (DTA or the Act). Te turanga - The roleWe are looking for a Principal Adviser to join the Enforcement and Resolution Directorate. This is a key leadership role that utilities your legal expertise and experience to carry out the Reserve Bank's enforcement and resolution responsibilities, assisting in complex and high-risk decision making.You will : Provide advice and make decisions on complex, ambiguous, challenging and, at times, urgent enforcement and resolution operational issues. Provide high quality timely written analysis and recommendations on complex, ambiguous and challenging operational enforcement and resolution issues for use by senior decision makers, Reserve Bank committees and other external stakeholders. Provide expert enforcement and resolution advice on proposed policies, procedures and frameworks, including proposals that arise out of law reform activities. 332 pukenga - About youYou'll have : Law degree with 15+ years PQE is desirable. Extensive legal experience in a firm or in house in a field relating to enforcement or resolution. Thought leadership and ability to operate independently in areas of significant complexity, importance, and urgency; showing a high level of initiative and judgement, including leading work on significant operational and technical issues and / or workstreams. Strong influencing skills, with the ability to identify key audiences and implement strategies to achieve required decisions and actions, including when representing the Reserve Bank with external stakeholders.
