You'll have the opportunity to shape and optimize insurance product pricing, ensuring competitiveness in the market while maintaining profitability.
Working with a team of motivated professionals, join our Pricing team as they work towards supporting our vision of making New Zealand one of the healthiest and best protected nations in the world.
This is a 12-month fixed term role to cover for an employee who is currently on secondment in another position.
Key responsibilities include: Monitoring the competitiveness of products from a pricing, product and remuneration perspective
Performing experience investigations for assumptions required by the Pricing and Actuarial teams
Monitoring and reporting on AIA experience against industry experience
Becoming proficient in Prophet, SQL and Excel to provide valuable financial information to the Actuarial team and other areas of the business.
Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiencies, minimize costs or financial gains
Supporting the Head of Pricing with the coaching and guidance of actuarial analysts within the Pricing Team
Collaborating with various business teams, including Product and Claim Managers, Underwriters, Distribution, Customer Support, Financial Reporting, Reinsurers, Brokers, Advisers and Actuarial Consultants.
Ideally, you'll bring: Qualified Actuary
Adhering to professional development requirements and professional standards of the relevant actuarial body
Prophet, Excel and SQL skills
Financial services industry experience
Understanding of the theory and practice of life insurance
Product development and pricing experience
Experience doing experience investigations
Legislative and statutory requirements
Business Product knowledge.
