Working with a team of motivated professionals, join our Pricing team as they work towards supporting our vision of making New Zealand one of the healthiest and best protected nations in the world. This is a 12-month fixed term role to cover for an employee who is currently on secondment in another position. Key responsibilities include:Monitoring the competitiveness of products from a pricing, product and remuneration perspectivePerforming experience investigations for assumptions required by the Pricing and Actuarial teamsMonitoring and reporting on AIA experience against industry experienceBecoming proficient in Prophet, SQL and Excel to provide valuable financial information to the Actuarial team and other areas of the business.Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiencies, minimize costs or financial gainsSupporting the Head of Pricing with the coaching and guidance of actuarial analysts within the Pricing TeamCollaborating with various business teams, including Product and Claim Managers, Underwriters, Distribution, Customer Support, Financial Reporting, Reinsurers, Brokers, Advisers and Actuarial Consultants.Ideally, you'll bring:Qualified ActuaryAdhering to professional development requirements and professional standards of the relevant actuarial bodyProphet, Excel and SQL skillsFinancial services industry experienceUnderstanding of the theory and practice of life insuranceProduct development and pricing experienceExperience doing experience investigationsLegislative and statutory requirementsBusiness Product knowledge.Why choose AIA?At AIA, we believe in empowering every one of our people to find their 'better'.
