This role reports directly to the Marketing Director and is responsible for developing and executing the overall PR strategy that will continue to drive brand awareness and reinforce brands culture and product positioning. The successful candidate will be an accomplished and passionate PR professional who has current strong relationships with journalists, beauty editors and influencers nationally
Key Objectives :
Responsible for the development and execution of the overall PR strategy
Manage all media relations and activities
Develop and manage all PR related events
Seek and develop PR opportunities across all media, partnerships and channels
Strategise and manage our robust influencer program
Identify and acquire new influencer contacts managing contract negotiations
Work closely with the wider Marketing team to support major events and product launches
Work closely with the Global PR team on press enquiries and publicity opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with key traditional media, online media and KOLs
Work with the Marketing Director on all internal communications
Manage the PR budget and measure the ROI of PR campaigns
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Own, develop and execute national and regional PR strategies for Australia that drive brand awareness and reinforce the brands DNA and product positioning
Drive and manage editorial strategies to increase buzz and press coverage nationally ensuring global Share Of Voice targets are met quarter on quarter
Develop and grow editor relationships with an emphasis on national of beauty, fashion, lifestyle and major publications; secure increased placements and presence across print and online
Drive integrated PR strategies for each major product launch, liaise with global counterparts to leverage PR strategies, materials and execution to drive buzz and enthusiasm
Develop and maintain all media lists for Australia
Complete post-campaign reports for all major product and PR launches
Coordinate and execute new product PR sends and press releases
Manage special projects including key partnerships and events
Fulfill media requests in a timely, deadline-sensitive manner and liaise with global counterparts to obtain needed materials
Cultivate new relationships and grow outreach within the industry
Work closely with retail partners to develop joint PR strategies and leverage existing programs
Plan and execute PR schedules for all international guests
Develop key messages and talking points for senior executives and official spokespersons
Work closely with the Marketing team on all internal communications initiatives, supporting the explosion of brand culture across all staff touch points
Build and manage the PR budget
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications, preferably Marketing, Media or PR related
5 - 7 years PR Management experience in the lifestyle, beauty or fashion industry Beauty/Cosmetics experience highly preferred.
A pro-active hands-on disposition with the ability to handle multi-tasks
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent media liaison and stakeholder management
Creative and thinks outside of the box
Organised with good time management skills
