About the role:
We're seeking a Pou Whirinaki to join our Maori department at EP, reporting to the Head of Kaupapa Maori in a part-time capacity of 20 hours per week. In this role, you'll facilitate virtual and face-to-face wananga sessions, ensuring engaging interactions, while also supporting the development of content strategies aligned with the Aotearoa New Zealand Roadmap. You'll collaborate with the HOD Kaupapa Maori on various projects, including strategy development, cultural advocacy, PD programmes and more.
You will be fluent and confident in te reo Maori me nga momo ahuatanga o te ao Maori. You will have a strong level of understanding and experience engaging with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You embody values such as manaakitanga and whanaungatanga, demonstrating commitment, reliability, adaptability, and a strong business acumen to serve our kaupapa and community effectively.
This is initially a 6 month contract (20 hours a week) with the potential to extend or move into a permanent role within the business. We are open to candidates all across New Zealand.
What you will do:
Facilitate virtual and face-to-face wananga, ensuring enriching and engaging interactions. Assist the Head of Department (HOD) Kaupapa Maori in devising content strategies aligned with the Aotearoa New Zealand Roadmap. Provide support to the HOD Kaupapa Maori in various projects including strategy development, cultural advocacy, and content development. Assist in content refresh and customization of lessons to cater to specific needs within the Te Ao Maori space. Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to generate discovery calls with potential customers, offering insights and support as needed. About you:
Matatau ki nga ahuatanga o te ao Maori - Confident and proficient in te reo maori me ona tikanga, with a deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in both a historical and contemporary setting. Experienced and confident in the facilitation of Wananga on these subjects.  He rangatira te tu - Driven by Te Ao Maori values, upholding manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, kotahitanga, rangatiratanga, tohungatanga and kaitiakitanga.
