Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Apata Group Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Post Harvest Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices in the post-harvest phase of kiwifruit and avocado production. The ideal candidate will possess passion for continuous improvement and a deep understanding of compliance requirements. Has excellent leadership and organisational skills, and ability to collaborate across departments to maintain high-quality compliance standards across the company and beyond. Apata Group in a bite We're a specialist post-harvest facility for New Zealand kiwifruit and avocado growers, with 30+ years in the business. Responsibilities include: Oversee compliance with regulators (ZIL, BRC, MPI, BioGro, AsureQuality, NZ Avocado, etc.) governing post-harvest activities. Develop and maintain compliance protocols and procedures for post-harvest operations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to established standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements based on compliance findings. Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices and ensure the integration of new requirements into existing protocols. Create and deliver training programs to educate staff on compliance protocols and procedures. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and assessments. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Agriculture Science, Food Science, or relevant quality or compliance qualification. 5 years of experience in post-harvest compliance, preferably in the agricultural or food processing or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements governing post-harvest activities. Passionate about food safety, a strong ability to influence others to this regard and committed to consistently delivering excellent service to our customers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various teams. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills. Training and experience with HACCP, FSQ, GMP, RMP principles, auditing, food safety requirements and market needs (OMARs and local or domestic).
