The Auckland Online team partners with our leading academics, providing bespoke services across a range of technical areas to co-create our high-quality online learning experience.We are seeking a Portfolio/Product Manager to manage and drive the performance of one of Auckland Online's two portfolios, which consists of online postgraduate programmes, micro-credentials, and certificates of proficiency.The Portfolio/Product Manager forms strong relationships and partners with academic leaders, leveraging a deep knowledge of the online postgraduate market and the University's capabilities to negotiate, design and develop a relevant portfolio and product roadmap.The Portfolio /Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, including co-creating a successful high-quality online postgraduate offering with our leading academics, enabling the delivery of a world-class online learning experience, and delivering launch readiness, implementation and ongoing product operations.Some key responsibilities include:Strategy & Planning - Translate the University's strategy for online programmes into a product roadmap/portfolio pipeline and develop business cases with leading subject matter experts for new online products (programmes, micro-credentials or short courses) and/or enhancements to deliver growth. Capture and appraise new product ideas and contribute to the high-level go-to-market strategy.Stakeholder and Relationship Management - develop and maintaining strong collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partnering with academic staff, Faculties and central service divisions, ensuring alignment and effective communication of services, strategies, and plans.Operational Management - Responsible for the cross-functional management of the Auckland Online Portfolio of offerings, through the management of multiple streams of activity necessary to continually launch new programme offerings.Continuous Improvement - Incorporate continuous improvement objectives into development plans and annual goals, actively undertaking projects for the advancement of Auckland Online.Financial Management - Responsible for the financial viability assessment and financial management of the learning design (including media production) costs associated with the Auckland Online Portfolio and any associated projects.Te Tiriti o Waitangi - Actively protect, participate and promote the University's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, to achieve equity outcomes for staff and students in a safe, inclusive and equitable environment.You'll be able to work at a fast pace and have an eye for detail and accuracy. You'll have an agile approach to problem-solving, and broad experience in portfolio management and project and finance management would be beneficial.You'll be able to communicate conclusions and suggestions clearly, using superb written and verbal interpersonal skills, and have a high level of creativity, drive, innovation and initiative.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, including presenting to leadership.Be highly motivated, self-managing and exceptionally well organised.
