Tradestaffare currently seeking a skilled and experienced Certifying Plumber to join our team. As a Certifying Plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing work carried out by our team meets the necessary regulatory requirements and complies with New Zealand building codes and standards. Your primary objective will be to certify the compliance of plumbing installations, ensuring they are safe, functional, and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing installations, including new constructions, renovations, and repairs, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes.Evaluate and approve plumbing plans and designs to ensure they adhere to building regulations and industry best practices.Provide guidance and technical expertise to plumbers and other team members regarding compliance requirements and best practices.Issue plumbing compliance certificates and other necessary documentation to certify the completion and compliance of plumbing work.Collaborate with local authorities, building inspectors, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.Stay updated on changes in plumbing regulations, codes, and standards in New Zealand, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.Maintain accurate records of plumbing inspections, certifications, and compliance documentation.Requirements:
Qualified and registeredplumber with a current New Zealand Practising License (Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board).Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and inspection.Demonstrated knowledge of New Zealand building codes, regulations, and standards related to plumbing installations.Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both internal team members and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Valid full driver's license and reliable transportation.Successful applicants must:
Pass a pre-employment drug testHave 2 ready work referencesHave your own vehicle with a restricted or full licenseYou may also be required to submit a criminal history check with the Ministry of Justice.

Please note that our work is mainly industrial and therefore for Health and Safety reasons you do need a good command of English.
