BASED IN BEAUTIFUL BLENHEIM, MARLBOROUGH REGIONTalley?s are seeking a talented Plant Manager to manage the day to day operations of the Blenheim site.Talley?s Group is a multi-divisional, international company. One of the largest privately-owned companies in the South Island, with teams spanning across the country. What began as a small local fishing business over 80 years ago is now one of New Zealand?s largest food production and supply group across four main food groups: seafood, vegetables, dairy and meat.Talley?s use state of the art processing systems for every aspect of their vegetables and seafood supply chain through harvesting, processing, freezing, packing, cold storage, and freight. With the Blenheim site being a large multi-faceted state of the art shellfish plant.This key role takes responsibility for all aspects of the Blenheim site including managing all operational activities from production through to logistics and maintenance. Key accountabilities include procurement, managing supplier/grower relations, leading and directing a large team, efficient production, ensuring quality, maintaining compliance, health & safety and building enduring customer relations. This is a diverse, exciting role in an environment that is real, pragmatic and focused.To be successful, you will have significant manufacturing experience in food processing, ideally experienced in site management, proven leadership ability, understanding of compliance requirements and coupled with strong business acumen to manage the commercial and financial aspects of the site operations.
