The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading our processing plant at Waitotara, encompassing people management, engineering, and compliance and plant systems. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager and leading a capable team, the Plant Manager takes accountability for the overall performance of the Waitotara site. In doing this, the Plant Manager will:
Model behaviours which drive a culture of safety and a new way of thinking about health and safety across the plant.
"Own" asset management for the Plant - considering longer-term requirements and the resulting capital needs;
Lead strategic thought and execution in terms of process excellence as this relates to plant operations, safety, risk and the environment;
Drive commercial performance; understanding profitability leavers and risks within the business and making changes as necessary to achieve objectives;
This is a critical leadership role that requires proven operational leadership capability and strategic thinking in a larger scale manufacturing context. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about manufacturing quality food products and experienced in building performance based cultures that make a difference.
As a key leader within the group, you will also be responsible for managing a number of direct reports and leading a large processing team to achieve efficient and accurate delivery of quality products and great customer service. Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained and financial targets are met is integral to the role.
