We are building a stronger New Zealand, together.About the roleOur Whangarei team has a strong pipeline of work ahead and we are on the hunt for an experienced planner to join them on that journey. TPG benefits from a varied client portfolio and projects, so we have the ability to shape your role to bring out the best in you, and support you to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients. Our planning consultants come from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets that they have successfully applied to our diverse range of work. The responsibilities keeping you engaged and motivated day to day will include:Working alongside our planning and property consultants in the teamResource consent acquisition and due diligenceResource consent processing for local authoritiesDesignation / notice of requirement acquisition and due diligenceDistrict plan review and policy services.About youAre you looking for a planning role with plenty of room for growth and an interesting mix of projects? Working alongside other members of our tight-knit Whangarei planning team, this is a great opportunity for an up-and-coming planner with a "can do" attitude. The role would suit someone with the following skills and attributes:At least three years' experience in a planning role, including an understanding of the Resource Management Act (RMA), in resource consenting and/or policy makingHold or be eligible for NZPI membershipAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively with members of our established teamThe ability to form strong and effective relationships with colleagues and clientsA background in planning consultancy or local government would be desirableLife at TPGWe pride ourselves on providing a positive culture and work environment for our people.
