Wesley Community Centre and Roskill Youth Zone are treasured community spaces and home to an exciting range of community programmes and events. We offer programmed and community-led activities as well as venue for hire spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and community-minded team and add your warmth and energy to the alive and inviting environment. This is a full-time 40 hours per week position.
Day to day, your responsibilities will be to:
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure venues are safe, functional and welcoming places. Raise the profile and reputation of Wesley Community Centre and Roskill Youth Zone Welcome every visitor and provide information and assistance to ensure the visitor experience is rewarding and enjoyable, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the Auckland Council services. Support in the operational management, administration and performance of community facilities. You are committed to service excellence, have a flexible approach and friendly manner. You are receptive to working in an agile and collaborative team environment and have a passion for communities and empathy for people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds including the vulnerable.
You are confident expressing your ideas and show flair and creativity in your work and have theability to demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Maori values and principles.
