Based off the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collectiveagreement.Mo te tunga - About the Role The Physiotherapy departmentdelivers quality, patient focused services across all specialty areas on theBurwood Hospital Campus. We're looking for an energetic and enthusiasticPhysiotherapy Assistant with a 'can-do' attitude to join our busy Physiotherapyteam in Older Persons Health on a fixed term basis covering a parental leave.
In this role, you will beresponsible for:
Departmental duties such as cleaning/maintaining equipment andclinical spaces, checking and maintaining consumables and stock;Delivering and set up of equipment across the hospital;Supervision of exercise programmes in both inpatient and outpatientssetting;Assist with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapyprogrammes;Assist the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one to onerehabilitation treatment;Assist the Physiotherapist with measuring Lymphoedema using bioimpedance- full training will be given;Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator;The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery oftreatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health andoutpatient settings;Basic computer skills essential;Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health;Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding ofhealth would be (desirable);Some knowledge of safe manual handling processes would be anadvantage.Ongoing training anddevelopmentHealth New Zealand | TeWhatu Ora employee benefitsWhenyou work at the Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, you are part of a wider whanauthat will support you along your journey.
