Physiotherapist - Inpatient Medical and Acute Stroke Dunedin Experienced or senior clinician
Full-time, permanent

About you
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced (minimum four years experience) physiotherapist to join our inpatient Allied Health team working in our Internal Medicine wards and Acute Stroke Unit. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the drive to develop quality services in collaboration with others while working alongside a committed inter-professional team of health professionals.
This role requires capability in acute stroke clinical practise and knowledge, and the ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced ward environment. You will be proficient at managing and prioritising a caseload, while providing balanced advocacy for patients by drawing on your clinical experience and evidence-informed understanding of optimising outcomes and discharge planning. You will show dedication to developing your own skills while supporting the growth of students, junior staff and the Allied Health Assistant workforce.

We work closely with the University of Otago's School of Physiotherapy and support student education throughout clinical placements. Our team is also developing and implementing simulation training resources and programmes to enhance educational opportunities for our staff and students.
