Stimulating, interdisciplinary position available for vibrant, future focus physiotherapist; that would like to build their experience and looking for an opportunity to work within a future focussed model of patient care..
We are welcoming applications from competent, suitably qualified physiotherapists who will be providing caring and best practice physiotherapy services to our patients and puts them at the centre of everything we do.
You will join our Allied Response Team (ART) / Allied Response Team Home Assessment (ART/ARTHA). The ART/ARTHA team operates within the Community Services Group and works as an essential member of Te Whatu Ora's Emergency Department (ED) in New Plymouth, and across the in-patient teams as well as community. The purpose of the ART/ARTHA service is to work alongside clinical staff to provide a holistic rapid response to a patient's care and support needs. By providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy and social work assessments and services ART/ARTHA support medical teams to put in place rapid treatment/therapy and short-term package of services that supports patient's when they are discharge from hospital care.
ART/ARTHA is a unique and diverse team that works interdisciplinary. The team works mainly in ED and in patient's homes, but also across medical, orthopaedic and surgical wards. ART/ARTHA provide patient centred care, by the right discipline, at the right time and in the most appropriate location. We believe that the right support at the right time facilitates and support patient's recovery in their own home.
ART/ARTHA is a 7 day a week rostered service, operating between 7am to 5:30pm. We support and welcome flexible working.
· Have a current practising certificate with their professional body
· Have a proactive and progressive mind set
· Are committed to high quality, culturally appropriate patient centred care
· Can think out of the box and problem solve
· Know what it means to work in partnership with clinician, patients and whanau/family
