The Business Support team within the Strategy & Transformation Group at the Council is responsible for taking a leading role in providing admin and PA support to the Heads of the Units and staff in the wider S&T Group.
As the Personal Assistant, you'll be the 'right hand' person who can provide high quality support to the Head of Planning and Strategic Transport and the wider team, and balance competing priorities with ease and skill. It goes without saying that as a PA, you'll need to be an experienced and adaptable individual that has a reputation for developing strong relationships and getting things done.
You pride yourself on always staying one step ahead; anticipating the unexpected and ensuring your manager's workflow is well managed.
You'll need to have an optimistic outlook as well as a proactive, can-do attitude. This means you can work independently and possess the initiative to seek out what can and needs to be done. The nature of the Planning and Strategic Transport environment means that priorities can change instantaneously, requiring you to adapt and respond accordingly.
Your extensive background experience means you have polished administrative and PA skills, as well as a high level of integrity and resilience. You'll have experience working within a team of managers who have continually changing priorities, and the character to respond appropriately and competently. Attention to detail will also be a strength, together with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record in developing strong relationships with people from all levels of the business.
