This role would be ideal for an HR Generalist who also has experience in H&S. While this role does partner with and support the broader business, a particular partnering priority will be with our operations teams and warehouse. The role has a dual nature with both a day-to-day generalist HR support focus as well as a safety and wellbeing focus. Let's eat for change.About the OpportunityPeople and Culture Business PartneringWork together with the Head of People & Culture in bringing to life a people centric workplace by ensuring peoples well-being and safety is at the for-front of what we do.Establish and maintain effective relationships with front line managers and is sought out as a trusted advisor.Ensures that core operational HR practices are embedded, understood and well utilised by front line managers. These practices include recruitment, onboarding, employee/leadership development, disciplinary processes, rem review, exit processes and dealings with the union.Supports front line managers on all people related matters with sound advice that puts the person at the centre.Provides advice to managers that is pragmatic and legislatively complaint in line with the Employment Relations Act 2000 and other relevant legislation in NZ.Runs and supports ER processes with guidance from the Head of P&C.Work with the Head of People and Culture in rolling out and implementing the HS&W focuses.Project manage and lead HS&W initiatives.Manage all H&S hazards, risks, incidents, accidents and near miss activity through our H&S management system.Conduct H&S audits and risk assessments of sites and workspaces as required.Conduct bi-monthly H&S committee meetings.To be successful in this role you will have:3 - 5 years' experience in an HR Generalist role.Experience in supporting health, safety and wellbeing.Ideally you will have worked in a warehousing or operations environment, but this is not a deal breaker.Strong knowledge of relevant employment and H&S legislation in NZ.Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize a diverse workload.You love a challenge, keep calm under pressure, have a curious mindset and can work collaboratively.Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, able to build trust with a range of stakeholders.What's in it for you?The opportunity to work for a company who cares - both about you and the world around you.Birthday Leave and Impact Days.Great discounts on our awesome products.Opportunity to work with likeminded, passionate individuals.Ability to work from home as well as in our 5 Star Green building in Mt Wellington.This is your opportunity to take the next step in your people focused career joining a company that aspires to be a leader in being a human centered business.
