As an experienced generalist HR practitioner, you will hit the ground running in supporting Council to implement good practice HR processes and procedures through providing timely and relevant advice to managers and staff, with particular emphasis on Employment Relations.
You will also assist with the Talent Acquisition process, building relationships and providing advice across the business.
We have over 650 employees working across a range of different roles located all around the city so you will be able to count on a wide range of situations to fully test your expertise.
Hours in this role can be flexible to suit the preferred candidate. Ideally, we would be looking for someone interested in working Monday to Friday, 30 - 40 hours per week.
Your focus in this role will include:
Work closely with Managers to provide specialist advice on employment relations issuesSupport staff by providing guidance on Council policies and proceduresAssist with recruitment processes, including developing sourcing strategies and shortlisting candidatesAbout you You will bring with you a relevant qualification supported by several years of experience across a wide range of HR functions. This background will enable you to easily build strong relationships with managers and staff as you support their business in all aspects of generalist HR including employment issues, performance management and development, recruitment and legislation.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
